DISTURBING THE PEACE Youth Slam and Showcase
DTP is a city wide competition and showcase featuring some of the finest voices in Youth Poetry. We have set the stage for young talent to not only discover and develop their skill in performance, but to harness their thoughts and ideas and give soulful weight to their Spoken Word. DTP allows creativity to flow freely, challenging the norm, even breaking societal stereotypes, by first helping young minds to tap into their self-confidence.

DTP is Truth. The Raw. The Epic. The Dope Truth.
This creative platform will advance the whole person, from our workshop to the stage. We shape young poets into becoming true performance artists and life leaders, guided by their own originality.
